Our cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and friend Lindy Chang Chew, 74, passed away peacefully Friday, November 11, 2022, surrounded by her children. Born July 17, 1948, she married her loving husband Allan Bockleen Chew on December 9, 1974. She migrated from Hong Kong to Salt Lake City, Utah with her husband in 1975.
Lindy was a gifted seamstress, knitter, and cook. She especially enjoyed knitting little sweaters for her grandchildren and the grandchildren of her closest friends. She loved cooking for all occasions and enjoyed sharing her recipes.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and her husband Allan Bockleen Chew. She is survived by her children Carolyn Chew, Karrie Chew, and Lawrence Chew (Andrea Huerta); and her grandchildren Leuana, Liam, and Chanel.
A viewing and funeral service will be held Saturday, November 19, 2022, beginning at 12:30 pm at Larkin Sunset Gardens - 1950 E 10600 S, Sandy, UT 84092. Following the funeral services, a celebration of life dinner will be held at the New Golden Dragon - 1761 S State St, Salt Lake City, UT 84115.
