Lisa graduated from Alta High School in Sandy Utah, in 1984, then attended Beauty School. She loved making others feel good about themselves and was good and kind to others, and a friend to all she met.

Lisa served a mission in the California, Los Angeles Mission, 1988-1990 for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved the people she served with and all the good people she met while on her mission. Lisa was an inspiration to others and had a strong testimony, she remained true to her faith throughout her life.

Lisa always loved children and when she was unable to have children of her own, the Lord sent them to her and Gary through adoption. Lisa was surrounded by her husband and loving children, who gave her happiness and strength. Her family was the joy of her life.

Lisa loved to cook and prepare meals for her family and those she loved. She was a talented writer and wrote beautiful poems. She loved family and missionary reunions, and now she is rejoicing in the reunions with her loved ones who have passed to the other side.

Lisa was blessed to be in a wonderful ward and neighborhood. So many wonderful people graced their home, bringing love, help, and whatever they needed. The family wishes to thank all the Angel Friends who helped them through so many difficult times. Also, a heartfelt thank you to Lisa’s mother, siblings, and nieces and nephews, who were there to help and love the family through the years.

Through all the heartache, illness, and tragedy in her life, Lisa was able to find the blessings. After she had the stroke, Lisa wrote in her journal, “I also have the gospel of Jesus Christ, which has been a big part of my life. Heavenly Father has blessed me so much, and I’m so grateful for all that I have. I haven’t always been able to say this, but I say it now. I love my life. I have a great family that loves me, and good friends and neighbors who are so kind, giving, and loving. Have I told you how much I appreciate them, love them, and am so grateful for them all?”

Aloha from my family and I. Sister Nunley had shared the Gospel of Jesus Christ with me, while serving her mission in Los Angeles. She had a strong testimony, and wonderful spirit.

I am glad that although she had some challenges, she enjoyed much happiness and blessings throughout her life. Mahalo Lisa for being a great example for me. - Kevin
