Ronald Brown Lee

1932 ~ 2017

Ronald Brown Lee passed away on May 8, 2017. He was born April 8, 1932 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Waldo Bingham and Dorothy Brown Lee. He married Betty Pierson on June 1, 1957.

Ronald attended West High School and Westminster College. He joined the US Air Force and was stationed in France during the Korean War. He retired from Salt Lake City Corp. where he was Superintendent of the Water Treatment at City Creek Canyon and Parleys Canyon. He taught water purification at the Utah Valley Community College and various schools throughout Utah.

Ronald enjoyed all sports. From a very young age, he played basketball and did a lot of swimming at the Deseret Gym. He pitched softball and baseball games in the service and in the summer leagues in the Salt Lake City area. He coached little league football and baseball as his sons were growing up. He also played golf. After retirement, Ronald played a lot of pocket billiards and became one of the "committee chairman" of senior centers.

Ronald is survived by his wife, children; Linda (Chet), Robert (Lynette) and daughter-in-law Glenda, grandchildren; Mike (Jodi), Britney (Raymond), Devan, Blake (Lexi), and great grandchildren; Kayhlen, Daxten, Hailey, Addison and Rylen. He is preceded in death by his son Matthew and sister Joyce (Ross) Bankhead.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 12, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South) in Sandy with a visitation from 12:30 to 1:30 PM prior to services.
