Lola was my Starbucks coffee and shopping days partner. We always laughed a lot! And those days will always be in my memories. I miss her SO much! And I love her and our friendship! Till we meet again,

Obituary
Lola Hekking Meador, 79, died in Salt Lake City, Utah on September 23, 2026.
Lola was born on June 15, 1947 in Rotterdam, Netherlands to Anthony and Johanna Maria (Annie) Hekking.
She enjoyed scrapbooking and shopping. She loved being with her family, siblings and their kids and grandkids. She loved deeply and freely. She loved all the fur babies. Nothing meant more to her than Whitney, Mark, Zeke, Zachary and Nick.
Lola is survived by her daughters, Joann (Troy) Wilkes and Denise (Ken) Gillespie; granddaughter Whitney Meador (Mark Payan), grandson Zachary Wilkes (Nick Peterson), and great-grandson Ezekiel Payan.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Dennis (Red) Meador, Carolyn Dent; siblings, John Hekking, Andy Hekking, Bepi Visser, and Gilda Schacht.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at 11:00 am at the Salt Lake City Cemetery, 200 N Street. Friends may visit with the family prior to the graveside service at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Salt Lake City, from 9-10:45 am.
