Listen to Obituary

Lorri Lynn Wood Mousley of Bluffdale, Utah, age 65, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2026 after a long battle from Alzheimer’s disease.

Lorri was born on July 20, 1960 to Vance K. and Rosella E. Wood in Salt Lake City, Utah. Lorri has one brother, Ronald V. Wood of Blackfoot, Idaho and two sisters, Sharolyn R. (Douglas) Bateman of West Jordan, Utah and Cindy R. Crandall of Lehi, Utah.

Lorri grew up in West Jordan, Utah and graduated from Bingham High School in 1978. After graduation she attended Brigham Young University. She married Ronald Moon on September 24, 1980. They had one daughter, Candice (Jason) Chapman of Riverton, Utah. She later married Blake Mousley on May 14, 1986. Blake & Lorri had two children. Mallorie (Jordan) Patterson of Saratoga Springs, Utah and Colton (Ariel) Mousley of Erda, Utah.

Lorri is loved by her precious grandchildren who adored her…Jaycee, Kaylee, Rylee, Maycee, Stetson, and Axel.

Dave Hanney was Lorri’s loving partner for the last 30 years. Lorri worked for West Jordan and Midvale Police Department for 20 years as a Records Specialist. Lorri absolutely LOVED camping, waterskiing, strawberry milkshakes and Peanut M&M’s!! Her true love in life was her beautiful home in Bluffdale, where she had a fire pit in her backyard and thought nothing was better than sitting around the fire, telling stories, roasting hot dogs and making s’mores with her family.

Spending time with her kids and grandkids is what truly put a smile on her face! We know she is now in Heaven listening to the Beach Boys and finally getting to spend time with her Mom and Dad.

Our family would like to thank the wonderful nurses of Saratoga View living where they accepted, loved and cared for our Mom the last 3 months.

Mom, we love and miss you more than you will ever know!

Sister, I miss you already! I will miss your 10 calls per day and telling me the same story for over hour each phone call. What will I do without hearing your voice. I miss you terribly!
Thank you for always being my Wingman, always by my side, we were Mutt and Jeff. Shane said that he remembers us just being so crazy all the time....he said it didn't matter what was coming down ....good or bad....we would just just look at each other and crack up laughing! That's what I remember too....just laughing till we cried! Always know that I LOVE you with every fiber in my body....you'll always be my little sis whom I was ALWAYS happy to make Tang for! Give Mom and Dad and my baby girl a hug from me and tell them just how much I miss all of YOU. All my Love Forever and Always, Cinderella Robinhood Woodchuck Crandallberry

We are sad to hear of Lori’s passing. She was a beautiful girl. We have many memories of her. She has passed to a better place, her parents are probably so happy to be with her.
