Lowell DeVere Jensen

1929 ~ 2023

Lowell DeVere Jensen, 93, passed away on April 20, 2023, in Highland, Utah. Lowell was born August 31, 1929, in Bingham Canyon, Utah to Martin DeVere Jensen and Mary Elva Winn. He married Lois Cloward in the Salt Lake Temple and together they have shared 71 years of marriage.

Lowell was the very definition of a kind and caring patriarch - an incredible building force that connected the Jensen family. He lovingly accepted new members into his family as his children and grandchildren found their partners in life. He made them feel as much an integral part of the family in a way that seemed they were just always meant to be there.

Lowell’s life was dedicated to his family, his community, and God. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints having had many callings. He served faithfully as a Bishop twice and High Councilman many times. He served a mission in California as well as a mission with his wife Lois in Canada. He was a participating member of the Kiwanis Club. Lowell was particular and could be stubborn yet had uncanny wit and sense of humor. He loved telling stories of his youth which would make his grandchildren laugh and giggle. Lowell was a great example of pure goodness and unconditional love.

Lowell is survived by his wife Lois Cloward Jensen, six children Lowell C. (Dorothy) Jensen, Maryann (David) Witte, David (Janice) Jensen, Robert (Correne) Jensen, Merelynn (Gary) Berrett, Jane (David) Noorda, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Lowell will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at the Jordan Willows 2nd Ward, 1801 West 700 South, Lehi, Utah. Friends may call at the church between 10:00 AM and 11:30AM on Saturday morning prior to the services. Interment Larkin Sunset Gardens.
