Our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, neighbor and Friend returned home to our Father in Heaven on Monday May 26th 2014.
Bev was born on November 14th 1936 in Richmond, VA to Helen Elizabeth Goddin andHenry Keeling Ellyson III. She was an only child for 14 yrs, until her younger brother Cecil E. Hobbs was born. Bev grew up in Richmond VA, being raised by her Mother and her Maternal Grandmother. During her Senior year of high school (Grandby HS, Norfolk VA), Bev met her first true love; Phillip Baxter Lane Sr. They were married just out of HS and were together for almost 7 yrs. Together they had 3 children. In October of 1971, Bev married for a 2nd time to Gary Timothy Summer. This union gave her 4 more children. Gary and Bev separated after 12 years. In 1996 Bev had the blessing of marrying her eternal companion; Howard H. Anderson. Through this union, she gained 2 beautiful step-daughters and a step son, along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Bev joined the LDS Church in 1965, and has held multiple callings over the years, ranging from Primary Teacher to Relief Society President. Bev and Howard served a Temple Mission for the LDS Church at the Washington DC Temple. Bev was a wonderful Mother, an amazing Grandma, and a loving Great Grandma.
Bev is survived by her 5 children: Debbie (Kevin), Phillip (Amanda), Michael, Patty (Tod), and Suzi; 13 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren; brother, Cecil (Donna); 2 nephews and 3 great nieces. Bev is preceded in death by her parents, 3 husbands, grandson, Phillip Joshua James Lane, and her precious sons; Timothy Aaron Summer and Thomas Andrew Summer.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday May 31st 2014 @ 11:00 a.m., with a viewing from 9:30 a.m.-10:45 a.m. Services will be held at the Londonderry Chapel, 11164 S Londonderry Dr. (1515 E.), Sandy UT. Interment will be at Larkin Sunset Gardens. Online condolences: www.larkincares.com
