1947 ~ 2022

LuAnn Salas, age 74, passed away on March 24, 2022 in Salt Lake City, UT.

Born June 11, 1947 in Salt Lake City, UT to Elmer and Creta Ann (Mangum) Whitehead. She married Rudy Salas on February 4, 1983.

LuAnn was a devoted Christian. She enjoyed spending time with loved ones, thrift shopping, watching game shows, and in her younger years, dancing. She will be remembered for her sassy, yet loving personality. She was truly a beacon of light to all that crossed paths with her. Her caring and fun-loving ways will not be forgotten. She was the best mother, grandmother, wife and friend. There will never be anyone quite like LuAnn. She will be missed dearly.

She is survived by her three sons; Michael, Scott and Wayne, grandchildren; Michael Jr., Celina, Eric, Elisio, Angelica, Leighanna, Ethan, Sierra, Loncho and Melissa, great grandchildren, her friends; Mike and Theresa Ryan, Francis, Linda, Ruby, Sharon, Irene, Kim and Patty. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Rudy and dog Inky.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, April 1, 2022 at the Salt Lake City Cemetery, 280 N. 1060 E. (inside the Salt Lake Cemetery), Salt Lake City, UT. To watch the services online, please click on the blue "Watch Services" button to the right of her picture.

Grandma, you'll never know how much your life impacted my own. All that I have, all that I Love, my family and friends are all because of your sacrifice. I've not been the perfect grandson but YOU loved me Unconditionally. That's something I'll never forget or something I'll ever be able to replace. I know God called You to help with granpo so I'm excited your home with him an my mom as well. Watch over us. I'm so very thankful for every moment, all the sweet things you did for me and my sister.
