Marvin Frank Peterson

1951 ~ 2014

On Sunday evening, Marv lost his brave two year battle with lung and brain cancer. Always optimistic, never a complaint. Marv's main concern was always the welfare of others. Marv was the best son, brother, friend and favorite uncle anyone could wish for. Marv found time and touched the lives of everyone around him.

Marvin Frank Peterson was born October 30, 1951 to Frank H. and Irene Peterson in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was the 3rd born of 6 children. He graduated from Hillcrest High School and obtained a degree in accounting from SLCC. He had a strong work ethic beginning his career as a paper boy at age 12 and retired from Kennecott after 40 years of service.

Marv is survived by his mother Irene, 4 sisters and 1 brother, Jean Adams (Phil), Lynne Baum (Carl), Irene Smith, Ralph Peterson (Laura), Elaine Haun (Mick), honorary sister and brother Marilynn Bone and Marshall Milstead. Marv brought great joy to the lives of his 12 nieces, nephews and 12 great nieces and nephews and is greatly loved by them.

Marv had a great sense of humor. He loved spending time with his family and being in the great outdoors. He loved to travel, and take walks with his dog Jake. Marv had a beautiful smile and a contagious laugh. To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die. God bless you Marv.
