Lynda Jackson passed away on December 19, 2025. She was born in Salt Lake City, UT on August 22, 1949, to Ralph and Arlene Jackson. She was the first of 9 siblings.
Lynda was the keeper of family stories and favorites. For some of her siblings, she was a tie to an older generation of family and grandparents. She was the family shepherd and wore the matriarchal mantle, keeping tabs on all family members.
She started schooling to be a teacher, but has always been a teacher, family tutor, and writer. She had a talent for finding the perfect gift or lesson handout conveying a special meaning and message. She remembered and treated her siblings, nieces, and nephews with thoughtful gifts and clever holiday favors. Her love language was gift giving.
She worked various jobs but spent many years at Dunford Bakers where she had an extended family and life-long friends. She also cherished her friendships from childhood and church.
She was artistic. Lynda had beautiful handwriting and was especially talented with embroidery, cross-stitch, crocheting, and cake decorating. She had the ability to create beautiful displays and settings.
Lynda had a strong testimony of Jesus Christ which she gained throughout her life. This was pivotal for her through the last particularly challenging 6 years of her life. She served in many church callings but had a special place in her heart for the Primary. She was generous, humble, and grateful. She was especially appreciative of her loving parents. Once again, she will be the first to join them.
She is survived and will be greatly missed by her siblings; Mike Jackson (Chyrell), Judy Jackson, Mark Jackson (Julie), Rory Jon Jackson (Margaret), Robyn Follett (Steve), Teresa Burya (David), Kristi Jackson, Kelli Wright (Lane), 21 nieces and nephews, 51 great-nieces and nephews, and 4 great-great-nieces and nephew.
