Lynn Ann Swenson Edmonds

1948 ~ 2023

Lynn Ann (Swenson) Edmonds

Our beloved mom, Lynn Ann (Swenson) Edmonds 74, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of December 11th, 2023. Mom had battled an aggressive form of cancer which had metastasized, fighting valiantly for the last few months but, ultimately, was not able to overcome the cancer that riddled her body and caused immense pain.

Lynn was born on December 18th, 1948, to Walter and Naudyne Swenson and grew up in Bingham Canyon, attending Bingham High School, graduating in 1967. Lynn excelled in school and was a Minerette, as well as involved in the drama program. After high school she attended the University of Utah briefly.

Lynn was preceded in death by her father, Walter Swenson. Lynn is survived by her mother, Naudyne Swenson, her sister, Celece Ririe, her children; Chaundra, Trishelle and Kellen (Amanda) Edmonds, as well as her grandchildren; Brendan, Kayleigh, Sarah, Brighton, Tatum, Shannon and Savanna, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Lynn was a quiet and kind person with a style all her own. Lynn had an amazing ability to retain information and was often referred to as a walking Google search engine. Lynn enjoyed the performing arts, music and movies, as well as reading, gardening and staying home. Later in her life, Lynn came to love the band Queen and would listen to the music, watch the videos and movies for endless hours on her days off, even singing with her ear buds in.

The biggest joy in Mom’s life was her job at Merit Medical, where she worked for 33 years and until her passing. We would like to thank all of mom’s co-workers that came to visit her while she battled her cancer, you truly lit up her face with that big infectious smile she had. We enjoyed the visits with you all and are forever grateful for all the stories about a side of mom that was funny, feisty and kind to everyone she worked with and for. Mom fought the cancer with the intent to return to work, which gave her the hope she needed to get through the painful days of radiation and chemotherapy. Three days before her passing she told Chad she would see him soon, never for a minute thinking she wouldn’t get back to work. Mom strived to be the very best at her job and was not afraid to speak her mind, while also being helpful and respectful.

Thank you to Aspen Ridge Hospice and nurses Laura and Denise for taking such good care of mom, relieving her pain in her final days.

Mom, we love you very much and miss you dearly. Life wasn’t always fair to you, you deserved so much more happiness and joy than you had at times. We will keep you in our hearts and minds daily, remembering the funny, quirky side we loved. You are free to be true to yourself now and sing and dance every single day. We know you and grandpa will find each other and that we will see you again. Until then mom, know that we will be okay and will take care of each other.
