Tyler C Ashcroft

Tyler C Ashcroft died unexpectedly in Bountiful, Utah on February 12th, 2020 at the age of 32.

Tyler is survived by his mother, Cathy Lynn (Schlosser) Holly; brother, Todd L Ashcroft; sister, Arlee A Ashcroft; wife, Melissa Nicole Rathbun; children, Tyler C. Ashcroft JR and Tayden Joseph Ashcroft; nieces, Alexis Taylor Ashcroft, Shaylynn Sage Ashcroft, and Maya J. Lucero; nephew Xander Irvin Lucero; his beloved bulldog Turbo. He is preceded in death by his father, Larry Irvin Ashcroft; grandmother, Patsy Ruth (Buffaloe) Ashcroft; aunt, Cindy Lee (Schlosser) Brown.

Tyler was born on August 21st, 1987 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Larry Irvin Ashcroft and Cathy Lynn (Schlosser) Holly. He graduated from Bingham High School in 2005. He met his love, Melissa Nicole Rathbun, in 2005, they married in 2012. The couple welcomed two amazing boys into this world in 2011 and 2013. Tyler's interest in cars sprung from childhood, he spent countless hours in the garage with his father where he learned everything needed to follow his dad\s trade as a mechanic. He worked for his father out of his childhood garage in South Jordan, Utah for many years. In 2007 he became part owner in Transmission Man LLC with his father where he worked day in and day out ensuring his customers were happy. Tyler was committed and determined to take on the jobs that nobody else would or could. He was a diagnostic genius who would spend as much time as necessary to make sure there was a solution to every mechanical problem. Tyler prided himself in his work, he was well respected in the automotive industry. Tyler became the sole owner after his father passed away in 2013. In late 2014 he sold his company to work with his brother, Todd L Ashcroft, where he worked up until his passing.

Tyler was a generous individual who loved putting a smile on everyone\s face. He had many passions in life, his main passion was his kids. Tyler loved being a father, teaching his kids the ways of life. All of his hobbies included family, Tyler was a family man. He loved building cars with his father as well as working on his Saleen Mustang. Some of his favorite sports were baseball, softball, bowling, and golf, which he loved playing competitively with his brother, Todd and his cousins, Dallas and Austin. Tyler also enjoyed RC helicopters, drones, and fishing. Tyler had so much knowledge, he could recite movies, songs, and trivia like no other.

Tyler will be missed deeply by many on this earth, he loved and was loved by so many people. We love you Tyler, Rest In Paradise and fly high.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, February 15, 2020, with interment at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road, Sandy, Utah.
