Jeannine Thurber Perrenoud

1930 ~ 2017

Jeannine Thurber Perrenoud, 87, passed away on January 25, 2017 at her home with loved ones close at hand and heart. She was the wife of Albert Francis Perrenoud; they shared 38 years of marriage before his passing July 31, 1989.

Jeannine was born January 18, 1930 in Garfield, Utah to Joseph Wells Thurber and Ruby Arzel Case Thurber. The family moved to the Salt Lake valley when she was around 8 years of age. She graduated from South High School and went on to attend the University of Utah. She lived in the Salt Lake area most of her life with many years in Magna, on Alden St and at the Greystone Condos. She worked in many vocations; Kress's, Sunshine Cleaners, Biologics, Beehive Electronics, Bell Industries, finished drywall in travel trailers, plucked turkey feathers, and was an Avon lady for over 20 years.

Jeannine was a member of The Church of Jesus of Latter-day Saints and belonged to many other organizations like Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, book clubs, lunch groups, Red Hats, TOPS, swim/exercise group, The Belles of Bell, and she was the #1 groupie for Slickrock Gypsies and The Flynnstones. She loved to travel. She went to Hawaii many times, on a few different cruises and loved her time share in Lava Hot Springs. She traveled to see her children in Washington State, Arizona, Texas and South Carolina. She even got to go across country with Bob and Yvette in their lovely semi-truck and to Chicago once with Al when he drove truck for Wycoff.

She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, unconditional love, and fun sense of humor. Mostly she will be remembered as the best wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend ever.

She is survived by her 5 children: Yvette (Bob) Cadwallader, Dale (Laurie) Perrenoud, Sherri (Mark) Lucke, Colleen (Blair) Sines and Kevin (Rebecca) Perrenoud, 9 Grandchildren, Anna (Robert) DeMille, Jeanette (Willie) Gregory, Charles Perrenoud, Angela (Ryan) Bleazard, Bryan Tingey, Robert Tingey, Cassandra Cook, Brooks Perrenoud, and Ansley Perrenoud, and 7 Great-Grandchildren, Taylor DeMille, Dallan DeMille, Ella DeMille, Hillory DeMille, Mark Bleazard, Joseph Bleazard, and Zikiya Tingey. She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters, husband and many loved family members and friends.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff members from Millcreek Home Health and Hospice, Cottonwood Creek Assisted Living and Highland Care Center.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Forestview Ward, 1111 E. Charlton Ave. (2818 South) with a viewing held prior to the service from 9:45-10:45 a.m. An evening viewing will be held Monday, January 30,2017 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary Downtown, 260 E. So. Temple.
