Karen Christensen Park Hall

1955 ~ 2016

A truly beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Karen Christensen Park Hall, age 61, passed away in Lehi, Utah, on December 30, 2016, following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was surrounded by her loving and supportive family.

She was born January 29, 1955, in Salt Lake City to Glenn and Melba Christensen. Karen married Wayne Park on March 11, 1983, in West Jordan, and their marriage was later solemnized in the Jordan River LDS Temple. Wayne passed away in 2004. Karen married Robert William Hall on December 14, 2011, in Lehi, Utah. She was a faithful and valiant member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She held many stake and ward callings, most recently serving as a counselor in the Young Women presidency and as a visiting teacher. Karen and Bill recently completed a Church Service Mission at the Conference Center, an assignment they dearly loved. She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially attending her grandchildren's sporting events. She was their biggest fan. Karen was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a loyal friend.

Karen is survived by her husband, Bill, and their 11 children: Carrie and Michael Gallman, American Fork; Ryan and Melissa Park, Riverton; Gregg and Melanie North, Holly Springs, GA; Amy and Tyler Anderson, Lehi; Tyler and Amy Park, Bluffdale; David and Kristen North, Farmington; Jeremey and Angie Park, Riverton; Mitchell and Kylie Park, Saratoga Springs; Chase and Kellie Hall, Vernal; Hillary and Mike Anderson, Vineyard; and Nathan Hall, Lehi. Karen has 41 grandchildren. She has a unique relationship with each one and they deeply miss her. Another baby is soon to join us. Karen has a special friendship with her sister, JoAnn Rawlins of West Jordan. Her brothers are Donald Christensen and Robert Christensen, both of West Valley City. She is preceded in death by her husband Wayne and her parents.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 7, 2017. at 11:00 a.m. at the Jordan River Ward, 1929 West 1500 North, Lehi. Family and friends may call Friday January 6, 2017, at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 10600 South 1950 East, Sandy, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the services at the ward meetinghouse.

Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery.

"Greatness is best measured by how well an individual responds to the happenings in life that appear totally unfair, unreasonable, and undeserved" (Marvin J. Ashton). Karen left a legacy for her family of true greatness and faithful endurance.
