Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, Carolyn was called home by her Heavenly Father. She passed away peacefully at home on 10/21/2014. She was born October 16, 1951 in SLC, Utah to D. Darrell and Cleo Singleton Griffiths. Carolyn loved spending time with her family and friends and being outdoors. She enjoyed rock concerts and traveling, especially occasional day trips to Wendover. She married Philip Fischl in the Salt Lake City Temple 6/17/1971 and had 4 children together. Her proudest achievement was being a mother to her children. After 25 years of marriage they divorced. She married Russell Pelton on the beaches of Hawaii 2/20/02 and divorced 10 years later. She made many friends over the 13 years she worked at IHC. She retired 4/1/2014 to help care for her twin granddaughters. She met and touched many people's lives during her lifetime. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her 4 children David (Cristen) Fischl, Lisa (Brad) Makin, Christine (Jeff) Todd, Aaron Fischl (Cat Frandsen), her brother Brent, her sister Marilyn, 7 grandchildren; as well as all her nieces and nephews, too numerous to list but she loved very much. Preceded in death by her parents. We wish to express our gratitude to the staff at IHC Hospice Care and Larkin Mortuary for their care and support.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 25, 11:00 am at the Park 1st Ward, 4825 West 7000 South. A viewing will be held Friday from 6-8 pm at Larkin Mortuary Riverton, 3688 West 12600 South and one hour prior to the service at the ward. Interment in the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
