Dorothy Ruth Miller Naylor

1931 ~ 2015

Dorothy Ruth Miller Naylor, born April 17, 1931 in Murray, Utah to Paris Elias ("Pat") and Vera (Osborne) Miller, passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2015, at her home in Cottonwood Heights, Utah. Dorothy married Floyd Nordberg Naylor on October 31, 1948 and they were later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Dorothy held numerous positions in the Church including Primary President and Stake Sports Director as well as assisting Floyd with scouting endeavors for more than 25 years. Dorothy had a beautiful voice and sang in the Ward Choir most of her life. She enjoyed square dancing with her husband and traveling the world.

Dorothy is survived by her husband, Floyd and three children: Stephen Floyd Naylor (Sherilyn), Gary Naylor (Debbie) and Tammy Taylor; 9 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Patricia Ruth Naylor.

The family wishes to give special thanks to the staff of Intermountain Homecare and Hospice, with particular gratitude to Laura and Melissa for their personal attention and consideration.

Funeral services for Dorothy will held on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 1950 East Dimple Dell Drive (10600 South), where a viewing will be held on Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday morning from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services.
