Paul Noel Stuart

1933 ~ 2015

Paul Noel Stuart, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, February 25 following a courageous battle with cancer. Paul lived a rich life filled with love and joy.

Born July 10, 1933 to L. Pat and Agnes Scheib Stuart in Salt Lake City. Attended West High School. Married Nedra Bissell November 22, 1952. Served in the U.S. Army and Korean War, 25th Lightning Division, Military Police. Paul worked at Bennett and Rick Warner Ford for 45 years. He had a lifelong love of jazz. Paul loved working with his hands; there wasn't anything he couldn't repair, build or improve. His hobbies included woodworking, photography, gardening, cooking, hiking, baseball and reading.

Paul and Nedra were inseparable for 62 years. They traveled the world visiting places in the U.S., Europe, Asia and India but Paul's favorite place was the cabin he built in Lamb's Canyon and time spent with his family.

Paul was a man of quiet faith and strength, generous, kind, humble, honest and hard working. He loved his family with all of his heart. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Paul is survived by his loving wife Nedra, daughters Carrie (Randy) Drown, Chris Mezek, and Lynne (Mitch) Harman; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and brother, Jerry Stuart, sister-in-law Joann Gertino, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents and sister.

His family wishes to thank his dedicated caretakers at Garden Terrace rehab and Millcreek Nursing hospice.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 3 at 11:00 a.m. at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 East 1300 South, Salt Lake City. The familywill receive friends on Monday, March 2 from 6:00-8:00 PM and again from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to the service, both at Larkin Sunset Lawn. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Springville, UT.
