Ray L. Moosman

1930 ~ 2013

Ray L. Moosman, our beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away peacefully on Sept. 30, 2013. Ray was born in Boulder, Utah on May 14, 1930 to Uvada Alvey and Lorin Moosman. Ray L. "Dynamite" grew up in Boulder. He had a close relationship with his grandpa Alvey where he developed a great work ethic and a love for horses. While stationed in Ft. Lewis, WA during the Korean War he met and later married Arvalee Atterton in the Manti Temple. Together they raised 9 children in Lindon, Utah. In 1985 he married Shirley Long Duggar and enjoyed 28 years of marriage, later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. He served in many LDS Church callings. He supported his family as a barber and as a City Cab taxi driver where he drove until the age of 82. His love and passion was for his horses where he was best known for raising and racing (Busters' Request). He had a great love for his family and horse racing. He is leaving behind a great legacy for his generosity, integrity and hard work. He will be greatly missed by all.

He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley, children, Trudi Lupus, Bryce (Kathy), Ron (Laurie), Kay (Cindy), Tina (Robbie) Conder, Shawn (Lori), and daughter in law, Edrinna; Stepchildren, Debra Robins, Steven Duggar, Diane Gibson, Scott Duggar and Suzanne Wright; Also by 21 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; a sister, Donna Jean Wilson. Preceded in death by a son Gary Ray and 2 infant daughters, Christina Ray and Trina Lee and a grandson Cody Bryce Moosman, 3 brothers and 1 sister.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013 at 11am in the Rose Park 8th Ward, North Chapel, 1200 North, 1200 West, Salt Lake City. Viewings will be held on Wed. from 6-8 pm at the Lindon 6th Ward, 56 East 600 North, Lindon, Utah and Thursday at the Rose Park 8th Ward from 9:30-10:45am. Interment at Larkin Sunset Gardens, Sandy, Ut.
