Lova Dorothy Bogedahl Miller

1926 ~ 2014

Lova Dorothy Bogedahl Miller, 87 years old, passed away peacefully in her sleep and returned to her Heavenly Father Tuesday, 20 May 2014, in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born on 9 October 1926 in Salt Lake City to Albert James and Dorothy Maud Dean Bogedahl. She grew up in Holladay and graduated from Granite High School.

She married the love of her life, Robert Lyman Miller, on 31 March 1950 in Salt Lake City. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple 28 February 2003. He preceded her in death on 24 October 1999. They did not have any children.

Lova loved bowling and golf. Together with Bob, she won many trophies for both. Lova loved music and played the violin and loved to sing.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bob, her parents Albert and Dorothy Bogedahl. She is survived by her brother Dean Bogedahl (Jackie), Torrey, Utah; sister Mary Marcantelli (Dick), Centerville, Utah; brother Leon Bogedahl (Beth), Torrey, Utah; and several nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, 29 May, between 6-8 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple. Funeral services will be held Friday, 30 May, at 1 p.m. with a viewing before the funeral from 11:30 to 12:30 at Cottonwood Creek Ward, 1250 East Murray-Holladay Road (4800 S.), Salt Lake City.

The family would like to thank the staff at Cottonwood Creek Retirement, Garden Terrace Alzheimer's Center of Excellence, and Brighton Home Health and Hospice for the excellent care they have given to Lova.

The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association (alz.org) in Lova's name.
