Lois Tuckett McAffee was born in 1930 in Lake Shore, Utah. She passed away October 2, 2016 due to causes incident to age. She was 86.
Lois is the second oldest child of eleven siblings. She grew up on the family farm, helping to raise her younger siblings. Married to Donald LeRoy McAffee in March 1954. He preceded her in death and she was a widow for 36 years being left to finish raising her children by herself. She loved to garden and took pride in her yard and home. You could always find Lois and her sister weeding, harvesting and canning their harvest from the large garden they shared. She was an excellent seamstress and cook! Worked for her brother at Naborhood Bakery for over 30 years. Faithful member of the LDS Church, serving in the ward library for many, many years.
She is survived by her children, Ken (Sue) McAffee, Karen Morgan (Mark Christ), Diane (Paul) Smith, Kim (David) Richards, nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by eight siblings.
She is greatly loved and will be missed until we meet again.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at the Parkview Ward, 9855 South 2300 East, Sandy, Utah. A visitation will be held Friday, October 7th from 6-8 pm at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South) and from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. on Saturday morning prior to the services at the church.
