Marcia Dumas Fabian passed away at the age of 91 on May 23, 2025, in Salt Lake City, Utah.

She was born to Lawrence Alexander Dumas and Ethalyn Milaney Dumas on June 29, 1933, in Duluth, Minnesota.

Raised in Des Moines, Iowa and a graduate of Rosevelt High School, Marcia attended Colorado University where she graduated with a BA in Political Science. At CU Marcia was a member of the Pi Phi Sorority and there she met her future husband, John P. Fabian, the father of her children; John P. Fabian III, Scott L. Fabian, Brian Thomas Fabian and Lori Ann Fabian.

Marcia raised her family in Eugene, Oregon where she went on to receive an MS in Counseling Psychology from the University of Oregon. She taught at both Elementary and Community Colleges. Her consulting activities with Ragatz Associates included 20 years as a Focus Group Facilitator where she conducted over 400 focus groups on a global basis. She was a Licensed and Nationally Board-Certified Counselor and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a private practice in Eugene, Oregon.

In retirement Marcia had a rich life enjoying her grandchildren, traveling extensively with her cherished friends and sister Pat, and playing bridge.

Marcia is preceded in death by her son Brian Thomas Fabian; her daughter Lori Ann Wesley; and her sister Pat Brian.

Marcia is survived by her son John P. Fabian III and wife Christina, their sons Alex and Jack; her son Scott L. Fabian and his son Christopher; daughter Lori’s children, Stephanie Faye and James Stover; and her son Brian’s daughter Brooke Raddatz.

Funeral services will be held at Larkin Mortuary in Salt Lake City, Utah on June 14th at 4pm for immediate family members.
