Marianne Erna Questereit

Marianne Bergman Questereit, a beloved soul, peacefully departed this world on September 10, 2026. Born on April 16, 1937, in East Prussia, she endured a challenging childhood amidst the turmoil of World War II. Miraculously, her family emerged alive and intact from these adversities. Marianne‘s family moved to the United States in the early 1960s where she met her husband Udo Kurt Questereit.

Marianne embraced her role as a homemaker until her children reached adulthood. Subsequently, she embarked on a new chapter in her career as a seamstress at Levoys. However, the company’s closure led her to OC Tanner, where she found joy in crafting and inspecting jewelry. Marianne cherished her work and the camaraderie she shared with her colleagues.

At the age of 72, Marianne retired, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter. She found immense happiness in the company of her sisters and cherished moments spent with her family and friends.

Marianne’s life was filled with cherished memories, and she is survived by her two children, Olaf Questereit and Vicky (Mark) Gonzalez. Her four grandchildren, Stephanie Gonzalez Howell(Ryan) Courtney Gonzalez, Peterson (Austin) Marissa, Questereit (Clarissa) and Mikayla Questereit, carry on her spirit. Along with her great-grandchildren, Colt and Knox Peterson, Nash and Avery Howell, will continue to honor her legacy.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday September 17, 2026 at 12:00 pm at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E South Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah.
