Marjorie Ann Rueckert Rushworth

1933 ~ 2023

Marjorie Ann Rueckert Rushworth - born August 1, 1933 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Leonard Christopher Rueckert and Lela Barlow Rueckert passed away on May 13, 2023 in Sandy,Utah at the age of eighty-nine.

Marjorie married Lowell Scott Palmer on November 22, 1952, but the marriage ended in 1975. She later married Ron Rushworth on March 31, 1978, and the two were sealed in the Mount Timpanogas Utah Temple in February 1999. Marjorie was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and aunt.

Marjorie was a talented seamstress and an accomplished pianist. She was well-read, took a passionate interest in politics, and loved spending time with her family and friends. In 1967, she began working as an Administrative Assistant at Atomics International, a division of Rockwell International. After she transferred to Rocketdyne, another division of the corporation, she graduated with honors and earned a degree in Finance at Los Angeles Pierce College. This furthered her career and helped her promote to Financial Management Analyst. She retired in 1993.

Marjorie is survived by her husband Ron Rushworth, two daughters; Barbara Morden, Elk Grove, California and Cheryl (David) Morris, Oceanside, California, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren, three sisters; Joyce (Myron) Johnson Provo, Utah; Carol (William) Haslam, West Valley City, Utah, and Marilyn (John) Nye, Sandy, Utah. She is preceded in death by her parents.

There will be a private family viewing at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary on May 20, 2023, at 12:00 pm followed by a graveside service at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery at 12:45 pm, friends welcome.

Interment will be in the Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery, 1950 East 10600 South.
