Marlene Ogan, age 71, passed away on April 28, 2026, in Magna, Utah. Marlene was born March 12, 1955, to Ivan Hodges, Jr., and Erma Nielsen in Murray, Utah. Marlene married David J. Ogan on October 1, 1983. They enjoyed nearly 18 wonderful years together and raised four incredible daughters.
Marlene was creative and crafty and enjoyed sewing and making little gifts for her family and friends. She loved camping, vacations, and staying in motels. Duchesne was a particular favorite destination.
Marlene was a fighter, successfully battling cancer over the last few years while enjoying time with her family. She was tough, thoughtful, and fun. She loved her daughters, grandchildren, and dogs dearly.
Marlene is survived by her daughters Angie (Kelly) Chase, Laurie (David) St. Andre, April (Jeff) Redmond, and Shantae Ogan (Joe), twelve grandkids, twelve great-grandkids, her brothers Ivan, Jim, Darrell, and John Hodges and their spouses, three fur babies Sadie, Bolt, and Bear, as well as many more family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband David J. Ogan, parents Ivan, Erma, and stepmom Donna, sister Connie Robinson, brother Calvin Hodges, and granddaughter Carissa Ogan Chase.
A closed casket visitation will be held on May 8, 2026, from 12:00-1:00 PM at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E Dimple Dell Road (10600 S) in Sandy, Utah, followed by a graveside service from 1:00-2:00 PM at the same location.
