Marsha Cleone Curtis

1938 ~ 2022

On Wednesday, August 3, 2022, Marsha Cleone Curtis, loving wife and mother passed away peacefully at home at the age of 84.

Cleone was born June 6, 1938 in Harlem, MT to Clark and Evelyn Alcorn. She was the second of five children and spent her early years helping her mother care for her brothers and sisters after her father’s death in 1950. In 1960, Cleone moved to Salt Lake City where she met and married Neal Jay Curtis in the Manti, UT temple on December 8, 1962. They had two sons, Marshall and Lauren, and one daughter, JaeLynn. She and Jay raised their family in Sandy, UT, and then retired to Moroni, UT in 2000.

Her joy was her family, and she dedicated her life to building a loving home where all could flourish. She enjoyed being around people and was passionate about family history. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jay, her sister Janamay Krass , and her brother Newell Alcorn. She is survived by her brother, David Alcorn, her sister, Lanae Glenn, her three children Marshall Curtis (Julie), JaeLynn Williams, and Lauren Curtis (Kristy), and six grandchildren, Alex Curtis, Elysa Carter (Brad), Shelby Firouzi (Nathan), Olivia Williams, Kenner Curtis, and Dallin Curtis and two great-grandchildren,
Mia and Ruby.

A funeral service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on 1300 E. Fairfax Drive, Saturday, August 13 at 11:00 a.m. followed by a graveside service at the Moroni City Cemetery at 4:30 p.m.
