Marshall Frederick Scott passed away in his home Christmas Eve. He was born July 30, 1950 to Freida M. Stuber and Eugene W. Scott. Despite a lifetime of reduced vision in youth and complete blindness as an adult, Marshall achieved a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Utah. He became a computer programmer at the Nora Eccles Harrison Cardiovascular Research and Training Institute where his work was included in multiple medical research papers. He enjoyed a variety of music, ethnic foods and was an avid user of the Library for the Blind.
Marshall is survived by his mother, Freida Tonge, sister, Belenda Tonge and cousins Terrance Hopper and Joseph Hopper.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday January 2, 2024 at 11:00 am. The service will be held at Larkin Sunset Gardens, located at 1950 E Dimple Dell Road in Sandy.
