Marsy Hall Woodward

1927 ~ 2022

Marsy Hall Woodward was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, on October 16, 1927. She was born the youngest of two sisters to Immanuel and Nettie Hall. During her years at East High School and the University of Utah, she met many life-long friends. At the end of World War II (1945), she met a tall, handsome Marine– Jim Woodward. They married in the Salt Lake Temple on August15, 1947. They had 3 wonderful children (Jim, Jamey, and Chris). Marsy loved being a mother and homemaker. She loved her Father in Heaven and her beloved Savior and served them well through a lifetime of service and callings.
For many summers, Marsy, Jim and the 3 children operated a fishing resort at Moon Lake. It was great working, playing, and living together 24/7. It was also very hard work taking care of cabins, boats, and horses. The great work ethic stayed with them all their lives.
After her children left her nest, she pursued her passion for decorating. With her talents she went on to create many beautiful homes and gardens during which time she made more friends. She deeply appreciated all the beauty the Lord created on this earth. Above all else she adored the time spent with her children,13 grandchildren, and 40 great grandchildren. In 1995 Marsy and Jim served an LDS mission in Jacksonville, Florida.
Preceding her in death are her parents, and her sister Corinne Gardner, and her husband Jim. She will be missed so much by her family and many wonderful friends and neighbors.
