Martha Dianne Marsden passed away on Dec. 3, 2023, at the age of 86 from causes incident to age.

Martha was born on July 29, 1937, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Anthony Morelos Brown and Nellie Weiler Brown. She had five sisters and seven brothers.

Martha married Lester Lavelle Jenson. They had four children and later divorced. She subsequently met the love of her life, William Kent Marsden. They were married on June 20, 1963, in the Salt Lake Temple. William Kent adopted Martha’s children, whom he loved and raised as his own.

Martha worked hard all her life and had overcome many challenges. She was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served a senior service mission at the Washington, Utah, Deseret Industries.

She was the life of the party and had a talent for making everyone laugh. Her laugh was contagious! She had a green thumb and made everything grow like magic. She loved her garden. She loved being surrounded by family.

Martha is survived by her children Ronald (Marissa) Marsden, Steve (Maria) Marsden, Cheryll Marsden, Lonnie (Jeff) Woods, DeAnna (Agbor) Agbor, Jared Marsden, Aaron (Rachelle) Marsden, son-in-law Mark Ramos, and daughters-in-law Angie Steenblick and Janice Marsden; by brothers Orson Brown, Russell Brown, Miles Brown, Mike Brown and Weiler Brown; by sisters Elain Shaw, Sue Pearson, Leona Olsen and Kathy Randall. She is also survived by 31 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Kent Marsden; daughter Linda Jean Ramos; sons William James Marsden and David Romney Marsden; sister Joanne Shaw; brothers Gaylen Brown and Ray Brown.
