Marty, to say you are missed is an understatement. Marty and DeAnn, we have always considered you bonus parents (positive that we aren't the only ones that do). Your generosity and love has always been felt by all of us crazy kids. Love and miss you Marty, always. Rest easy. 💙🩵💙🩵

Obituary
Martin Joseph Oslowski, age 77, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, in his home, surrounded by many loved ones. He was taken from us by the devastating, untreatable wrath of PSP. His valiant and brave acceptance was made with dignity, resolve and concern for his loved ones.
Marty was born on June 7, 1949 to Edward Oslowski (Ki) and Lottie Babola Oslowski in Charleroi, Pennsylvania. His childhood was spent in Donora, Pennsylvania among many aunts, uncles, and cousins. His Polish speaking grandparents all came from Poland entering the US through Ellis Island.
When the steel mill in Donora shut down, Ki was forced to move to Fairless Hills Pennsylvania to find work. The family followed shortly after, forcing Marty to enter a new world at a tender age. He attended junior high there and graduated from Pennsbury High School May, 1967. He worked summers at the steel mill to earn money for college. He moved to State College, Pa., to attend Penn State, graduating in May, 1971. Having a low draft number, he was allowed to finish college, but was called to serve his country right after. He was able to join the Army Reserve and avoid active duty. Off to Boot Camp in July, 1971. He finished his 6 year obligation and service here in the Utah Army Reserve and was honorably discharged on June, 1977.
After finishing Boot Camp, he was hired by Aetna Life and Casualty, and the company transferred him to Salt Lake City after his training. He moved into Aspen Hills Apartments and that’s where he met DeAnn. One year later, they were married at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, on May 19, 1973. Just as he was about to be promoted and transferred to New Jersey with Aetna, a new doctor owned malpractice insurance company was formed. He was asked to come aboard as their Claim Rep. It is this company that he later became President and CEO of the Utah Medical Insurance Association. He remained in that position until retirement.
He was a fly fisherman in his early years in Utah, became an avid skier, where Sundays became our family ski day in and around Park City. Once introduced to golf, he became a golf addict, and happily, DeAnn took up the game as well. Many days were spent playing golf at Hidden Valley Country Club with friends, clients and other golfing couples. Golf brought many new and wonderful friends and fun golf trips in the States and in Europe.
Marty is survived by his wife of 53 years, DeAnn. Son, Jonathan Martin (Kristen) Oslowski. Daughter, Cassie Ann Oslowski. Grandchildren, Max Wayne Pack and Ivy Ann Walker. Step grandchildren, Robyn (Kyle) Wright, Allie (Austin) Schultz, Annie Vincent (Tiffany Mondragon), Cody Vincent, Colton (Savanna) Vincent. Step great grandchildren, Cooper Shultz, Afton and Violet Vincent. Brother, Daniel Oslowski, Niece Meredith Oslowski, Melbourne Florida. Many cousins living in Pennsylvania and DeAnn’s extended family.
Special thanks to Holladay Home Care, and Canyons Hospice. They sent many angels to our home to help with Marty’s care. Forever grateful.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later time, for family and friends.
Date to be determined.

Tributes
Hard to believe Marty is gone but oh do we have some great memories of trips with Marty and DeAnn. England, Scotland, Ireland, Portugal, and France, surprisingly they all had great golf courses and the best pubs you could find anywhere. I always thought DeAnn was a better golfer but I never had the nerve to say that in front of Marty.
Rest in peace Marty, you were one of a kind without question. Love you.
We’re so sorry to hear of Marty’s passing.
I guess after hearing the news I spent considerable moments over the past few days resurrecting my memories of Marty. They are heartwarming and many!
When Marty was young, his family lived close by in Donora. Uncle Ki didn’t drive at that time and with my mom and Lottie being sisters, our families spent considerable time together. Sunday family dinners, church events, picnics, Kennywood……on and on. Marty was my surrogate brother since we were approximately the same age and I had two sisters and no brother.
One amazing memory I had was from the mid 1950’s. My father owned a Ford station wagon and my mother wanted to go to Florida on vacation. The Koneffko’s and Oslowski’s, eight of us (Janet wasn’t born yet), loaded into the station wagon and headed out to Hollywood, FL! No interstate highways and no AC!
When Uncle Ki’s work took the Oslowski’s east, we visited regularly. I’ll never forget the trips to the beach, Seaside Heights, NJ, from Fairless Hills.
Then it was on to college, Marty at Penn State and me at CMU. Diane and I once rode my motorcycle to State College to visit Marty! I was always envious that Marty got to see Janis Joplin live in concert at State College.
Marty may have passed but he certainly lives in our memories!
Dear DeAnn,
Please accept my sincere condolences, the obituary was so detailed and well written, what a wonderful man to have spent many wonderful years together, with much love and fun times.
May his memory be for a blessing.
Sending much love and support your way. ❤️💔❤️
I’m so sorry to hear about Marty. He was truly a great man, and I’ll always remember the kindness he showed me, not just growing up, but well into adulthood. He was one of those guys who was always fun to be around, with a quick wit, a great sense of humor, and such a laid-back attitude. Whether it was a round of golf, a few cocktails, or just sharing some laughs, he always made it a good time. I have a lot of great memories of Marty, and I’m grateful to have known him. He’ll definitely be missed. Thinking of you and your family.
