So sorry for your loss, when we cleaned the church for a calling he was the one we could always count on to help. He was constantly offering to sharpen knives, him and his little white truck will always have a special memory for me.

Obituary
Martin Boyd Schrenk
Martin’s mission here on earth ended October 3, 2026. He was born May 25, 1955. Although he faced many health challenges early in life, he persevered and gratefully grew to be an amazing big brother to his three sisters.
Martin graduated from High School and later completed custodial training. Over the years, he took great pride in his work for the Granite and Jordan School Districts, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Sterling Furniture, and several other employers.
To Martin, everything had value. He took deeply to heart the teachings of his parents and grandparents of “Waste Not, Want Not.” He had a wonderful talent for fixing things- ranging from lamps to lawnmowers - and always wanted to be prepared to help others mend whatever was broken. He kept himself ready at a moment's notice, collecting an impressive array of tools, electrical cords, and flashlights in particular. He was a wonderfully fun gift-giver, always finding or creating thoughtful items, such as cutting and cleaning PVC sprinkler pipes for his great-nephews so they could build endlessly with their imagination, or useful items like a box cutter, flashlight, or nail file things that everyone needs.
He was a man of simple pleasures like eating McDonald's chicken nuggets like they were going out of style, fueling up on a nutritious bowl of Froot Loops for breakfast, and hitting the open road for a field trip to Smith & Edwards in Ogden (none of that West Jordan imitation stuff - it just didn't have the same feel). One of his final outings, which he really enjoyed, was seeing the progress of the Salt Lake LDS temple renovation. Naturally any road trip included a stop for a refreshing cold cola with NO ICE!
His lifelong example of continuous learning, preparedness, and finding joy in helping others has been a lasting blessing to everyone who knew him.
Martin is preceded in death by his parents, Boyd and Darleen Schrenk. He is survived by his three sisters, Marilee (Dave) Royle, DeDee, and Carolynn (Bret) Drake.
He is also lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews:
• Children of Marilee: Stephen (Lana) Royle, with Paxton, Treydon, and Grayson; Kelly (Michael)Teemant, with Owen, Myles and Logan; Kari (Chris) Cramer, with Amelia and Abigail; and Kristy (Spencer) Ahlstrom, with Aniston and Benson.
• Children of Carolynn: Natalie (Skyler) Walker, with Lyle and Conner; and Bryce Drake.
We are especially grateful for all the kindness and help that he received from the staff at Atlas Home Health and Hospice, especially Heidi and Martha.
