Mary left this world peacefully in her sleep with her husband and daughter by her side.
Mary was born in Dillon, Montana to Antonio Castillo and Georgia Peerman on March 27, 1944.
She met and married Roy Lundy and gave life to Marcus Lee Lundy in March of 1967.
Mary moved to Salt Lake City in the 1970s where she met and blended families with Wayne Simmons in which she gained 3 more children. Wayne and Mary welcomed Jennifer Anne Simmons in December of 1978 to complete their family.
Mary devoted her life to taking care of her home and her family. When the kids grew up and moved out Mary spent her days watching QVC and going out shopping, buying all things Christmas and Halloween. You could not leave the house empty handed, Mary made sure of it, she gifted everyone something, a movie, a necklace, book, a Christmas truck or a muffin. Mary loved to give gifts to the people who loved her.
Mary is survived by her husband Wayne, brother Tony, sister Millie, daughter Jennifer, son in law Jake, daughter Brenda, son David, daughter in law Miranda, Her grandchildren Shyanne(Colby), Tailey, Julianne, Dalton, Tabitha(Justin), Sierra(Cody), Amber(Sandel), Brandon, Braiden, Mikeala, Owen and 9 great grandbabies.
She is preceded in death by her parents, son Marcus, son Michael, and brothers Timmy and Jimmy.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Larkin Sunset Gardens (1950 E 10600 S, Sandy, UT 84092) with a luncheon to follow at the stake center (1250 East 4800 South, Murray, UT 84107). The graveside service will be the following day, Thursday, August 15, 2024 at Malad City Cemetery at 12:00 PM.
