Fern B. Ju

1936 ~ 2016

We were blessed on January 16, 1936 with the birth of Fern Blair to her parents Edward and Norma Blair. She lived life as a wife, mother, grandma, great-grandma, sister and so much more. She went peacefully in her sleep at her home on December 27, 2016 surrounded by loved ones.

In her youth, she met and married Tonley Ju on June 11, 1951 in Grand Junction, CO. They worked hard raising a family of five girls and one boy in the Salt Lake Valley. Many who knew Fern would know of her fun-loving, hard-working, outspoken and caring personality. Whether you met her in the neighborhood, at the China Village, the Manhattan Club or the bowling alley, she loved having fun. Thus, her nicknames \"Wild Fern\" or \"Snippy Red\". She would give you advice to \"do it while you are young and have some fun\".

She loved her family. Whether you were her child, sibling, niece, nephew, or grandkid, she always had your back. She taught her family to work hard, to clean, to laugh, to look at people when they were talking to you and to live life to its fullest.

She is survived by her children: Debbie (Jerry) Cone, Vickie (Kyle) Ju-Swensen, Kimi (Robert) Conder, Kathie (Doug) Maack, Kellie (Thane) Woodard and Ryan (Jennifer) Ju. Her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her sisters Betty and Cheryl, her sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband (Tonley), parents, siblings, son-in-law, grandchildren, niece and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, December 30, 2016 at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South) in Sandy. A visitation will be held from 12:30-1:30 pm prior to the services. Online condolences welcomed at www.larkincares.com.
