Our loving son, father, brother, uncle, and friend, Kirk J Thompson, age 61, passed away on December 1, 2018. He was born on November 22, 1957 in Murray, Utah to Linda Jones and Maurice Dee Thompson. He is survived by his parents Linda and Joey Pepper, his daughters, Ashley Thompson (Ryley), Jai'mielle Thompson (Chris), and stepson Robert Garramone, granddaughters, Remington Wallace, Ary Wallace, Veda Wallace, Addison Clark, and Kylie Clark, his siblings Rae Lynn Johnson (Grant), Brandon Hopkins (Miranda), Penny Howa (Mark), Michelle Pepper (Scott), Mark Pepper, Doug Pepper and Jeff Thompson (Stargret), many nieces, nephews, and friends. Preceded in death by his Grandparents, Father, and Stepmother and his best friend and most loved companion, his dog Bynx.
Kirk met Robbin Garramone in cosmetology school. They married. Robbin had a son, Robert, and together they had two daughters Ashley and Jai'mielle. They divorced.
He moved from Utah to California, where he spent 15 years, he loved the beach and California life.
He was a talented hair stylist and interior designer. He took pride in his appearance and enjoyed the finer things life had to offer. He liked fast cars, great shoes, and always looking his best. He enjoyed and loved being surrounded by friends. He had the biggest heart and was always there to help people. One of his good friends called him Kirkland because he was like the Costco brand; the best of the best and could do anything. Cut hair, interior design, build a deck, landscape, entertain guests, property manager, dog whisperer, and knew how to have one hell of a Sunday fun-day. He always brought the laughter.
Kirk's beloved little dog, Bynx, was his greatest comfort and he was devastated when he lost her.
The burdens of his life became too much, and he chose to leave us. He was truly one of a kind and will be greatly missed.
Services will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 11:00 am at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road. There will be a viewing prior to the services from 9:00-10:45am
