Michael Bowen peacefully passed away at his cabin on May 14, 2022. Mike was born on February 18, 1947.
Mike's enjoyments were his wife and family, all his dogs and mountain critters. His biggest passions were muzzleloader/black powder hunting with his .50 caliber Lyman Trade rifle. He also enjoyed firewood cutting in the High Uinta’s and snow plowing in the winter.
He was very respectful of the Land, Water and Wildlife. He also believed in a firm handshake and a man's Word.
Mike Bowens church is in the Mountains. If you ever want to talk to Mike, give him a WHOO and that's where he will be.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, May 18th, 2022, at Larkin Mortuary (260 East South Temple) from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
I'm so sad to hear my grandpa passed away... I remember being like 6 or 7 years old and him and my grandma dropping me off back to my mom's and I didn't want to leave cause I loved him so much! I was holding onto the steering wheel for dear life to stay. Your gonna be missed dearly. You never know what you have till it's taken from you. I love you Grandpa! Love your grandson, Joshua Michael Bowen
My deepest condolences. Mike was a true friend with a heart as big as the mountain he lived on. I will be giving him a big shoutout up here on the mountain. Love ya Mike.
Dear Janeane, Shawn and Laura,
Jeff and I are so sorry for your loss. We’ve always loved Mike as a close friend and neighbor. He was always such a hard working man, and so willing to help anyone in need. The beautiful cabin that Mike and Janeane built together is a tribute to his talents and was a labor of love. I will miss his warm smile, friendly welcome, funny personality and his infectious laugh. We will always remember you Mike. As neighbors, we plan to help Janeane with anything she needs, and visit her often. You Rest In Peace my friend, we’ll take it from here. Until we all meet again, May God bless and keep you in His loving care.
Love,
Carol Ramsay Jensen and Jeff Jensen.
