Michael Wayne Daimaru passed away May 2, 2025 at the age of 65. Born on September 29, 1959 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Sharen Dayton Sharpton and Masao Daimaru. He is preceded in death by his parents Sharen and Masao.

Growing up Michael enjoyed fishing outings on his grandfather’s boat and vacationing with his family. As a teenager he worked at his cousin Gary’s Irish sandwich shop called Magilacutty’s. After High School, Michael joined the Air Force and served some of that time in England. He enjoyed playing pool and chess, listening to country music, and watching classic T.V. shows and movies. He was also known for eating spicy food. Michael will be remembered for the love he had for his dogs throughout his life.

He is survived by his step-dad Thomas Sharpton Jr. of South Salt Lake City, Utah, brother Blaine (Elaine) Daimaru of Sandy, Utah, sister Lorna Paul of Benton, Arkansas, sister Amy Dick of Taylorsville, Utah, brother David Dick of South Salt Lake City, Utah and many nieces and nephews.
