Mina Khezr Gharouni Nejad passed away on July 19, 2024. She was born on December 19, 1964, in Tehran, Iran, to Aliakbar Khezr Gharouni Nejad and Zahra Golian. From an early age, Mina demonstrated an unwavering faith and strength of character that would shape her entire life. Her journey took her from her homeland to the United States, where she sought a safe haven for her family to practice Christianity and provide a nurturing environment for her children.
Mina was a devoted mother and a loving wife. Her wisdom and guidance were the cornerstones of her family and her teachings and counsel kept them aligned with their values and beliefs. Mina held a special reverence for St. Mary, the mother of Jesus, and St. Bernadette of Lourdes, who inspired her conversion to Christianity. Above all, she loved Jesus Christ, and her devotion to Him was profound and unwavering, even when it required great sacrifice.
Mina possessed a soothing yet commanding voice, captivating listeners as she narrated books on her podcast. Her talents extended to screenplay and story writing, where her creativity knew no bounds. Fearless and adventurous, Mina embraced new challenges and experiences, always willing to go to great lengths to protect and support her family.
Her engaging personality drew people to her, making her a beloved confidante to many. Mina's joy for life was evident in her love for music, dancing, and nightly movie sessions with her family. She valued her well-being, staying fit and active, and her sense of humor lightened even the most serious moments.
Mina's wisdom belied her years, and her dignity commanded respect. As a guide and counselor to her husband, she was irreplaceable, offering insights and support with unwavering love and strength. Mina Khezr Gharouni Nejad's legacy is one of faith, love, and resilience, a testament to a life lived with grace and courage.
Funeral services will be held at 2PM on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at Larkin Mortuary – Riverton, 3688 West 12600 South in Riverton, Utah. A time to gather with he family will be held prior to services beginning at 1PM. Interment will follow at the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park – South Valley in Riverton, Utah.
