Robert Wesley Ensign

1927 ~ 2013

Robert Wesley Ensign passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 21st. He was born in Logan, Utah on March 18, 1927 to Wesley Boden and Georgia Willis Ensign. He attended grade school in Logan before the family moved to Glendale, California where he graduated from Glendale High School. He served in both the U.S. Army and as a 1st Lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force. He was active in the LDS Church and had a fervent testimony of the Gospel. He served an LDS mission in the Hawaiian Islands. He graduated from Brigham Young University and worked as a consultant in both domestic and international financing. He was married to Marlene Robinson and they raised two daughters in Palos Verdes, California and later moved to Rancho Santa Fe, California. He is survived by his wife and two daughters, Brooke and Kristina, who reside in New York City; brothers Bruce, Jerald and Douglas and sister Janice Bennett.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 27 at ll:00 a.m. at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 East 1300 South.The family will meet with friends from9:30 to 10:45 a.m.prior to services. Burial will be in Logan City Cemetery. The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the wonderful doctors, nurses and personnel at Veterans Hospital for the meticulous care he was given.
