Morlene Dangerfield

1934 ~ 2023

Morlene was born in Salt Lake City, Utah. November 12, 1934, she passed away peacefully on the morning of August 18, 2023.
She graduated from West High School. She then began working at Mountain Bell where she was employed for 33 years. It was during that time she met her best friend Paulette, whose friendship lasted over 56 years. They bowled on the Mt. Bell Bowling League together for many years. Morlene was a member of Communication Workers of America where she held positions of Chief Steward and Vice President.
Morlene and her mother made many visits to see her Aunt Rene and Uncle Alton Kartchner in Idaho Falls. They all enjoyed rock collecting, camping, and fishing.
Upon retirement in 1986, Morlene devoted her time to the care of her mother, LaVon, until her passing in December of 1992. They had a very special and close relationship throughout her life.
Those who knew Morlene best would describe her as a true Utah Jazz fan, a lover of all theater productions and had a special love for her pets. She loved camping, doing puzzles, and polishing rocks. Morlene had a great sense of humor, and often referred to herself as being eccentric and proud of it.
Morlene was adopted into Paulette’s family, where she gained a Goddaughter, Shaylin (who meant the world to her) and became an Aunt to T.J., Andrew and Emily.
Special appreciation to Dr. Margaret Lunt, Laura and Michelle with Aspen Ridge West Hospice, Ruth and the special team at The Abbington at Murray for the comfort and care they provided, and to all her good friends and neighbors for all the love, memories and laughter over the years.
