Carolyn Rae Buckley Limb Thorderson

1943 ~ 2019

Carolyn Rae Buckley Limb Thorderson, born April 6, 1943 passed away March 9, 2019 at 5:05 P.M. in Salt Lake City, Utah.

She was born in Pierre, South Dakota to Marjorie Russon and Raymond George Buckley.

After her father's passing, Marjorie remarried Melbrum Van Limb and Carolyn grew up in Cedar City, Utah.

After her marriage to Chad, Carolyn spent 28 years in Davis, California where she was actively involved with programs in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and with the local high schools and youth programs. She particularly loved teaching early morning seminary for the Church, and she is remembered fondly by the youth and young adults she worked with.

Chad and Carolyn fostered 48 children for Yolo County during their time in Davis, California, and many others were encompassed by her enormous love and referred to her as "Mom".

Carolyn has resided the past 17 years with her husband, Chad, in Rose Park, Utah, serving for 7 years during that time, for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Addiction Recovery program.

She is survived by her sister Everal Bowler, husband J Chad Thorderson and children Randy (Amanda), Eric, Jill, Kjersti (Ryan), Jennifer (Mark), Krae (Shirrine), Farris and Joseph.

She has 9 grandchildren and they were a great source of joy to her.

There will be viewings at the Larkin Sunset Lawn located at 2350 E. 1300 S., Salt Lake City, UT from 6-8 PM on Friday, March 15th and from 10 AM ‚ 12 PM Saturday, March 16, after which the family will privately inter Carolyn's remains.
