Glynn Johnson Kimball was born on November 14th, 1938, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to her parents, Myron Benhart Johnson and Verna Mae Frisbee Johnson. She has one older sister, JoEllen Johnson Wheeler Graviet. She and her sister grew up in the Sugar House area.
Glynn graduated from South High School.
She married David Douglas Kimball, and they welcomed a son, Scott Douglas Kimball. She also has one grandson, Philip Nibley Douglas Kimball.
She is preceded in death by her parents and sister.
Glynn worked a variety of jobs, but her favorite was with the Utah Department of Corrections in Probation and Parole. She worked 23 years from September 15, 1988, to December 15, 2011, with the Utah Department of Corrections. She had many awards for her hard work, along with her 23 years of dedicated and loyal service. Glynn was also a lifelong Republican.

Memorial services will be held on Monday, January 12, 2026, from 1 PM to 2 PM at Larkin Mortuary, located at 260 East South Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah 84111. It will be a casual gathering event to share stories and celebrate Glynn’s life.
Glynn passed away on 12-10-2025. Rest in peace.

I worked with Glynn for many years, while working for the Dept of Corrections. She was a very, special friend. I loved her so much. I always called her on her birthday, November 14th. My love, prayers, and heartfelt condolences to her son, and family.
