June Ferre Brewer

June Ferre Brewer, 92, passed away on October 22, 2016 at the University of Utah Medical Center as a result of injuries suffered in a fall at her home. Born September 23, 1924 in Santaquin, Utah to Daniel Ferre and Alberta Cushing Ferre. After graduation from Payson High School, June attended the LDS business college in Salt Lake City. While volunteering with the Red Cross, June met the love of her life, John C. Brewer. June and John were married on January 2, 1947 in Ely, Nevada. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City Temple.

June and John were in their 70th year of marriage at the time of her passing. June and John and a series of Chesapeake Bay Retrievers made their home in Salt Lake City. Throughout the decades, June was a loving spouse and inseparable companion to her husband. June enjoyed travel and accompanied John on trips foreign and domestic. June was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and treasured the time spent as a Service Missionary with John. June was deeply involved in family history and a proud member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. Her efforts to collect, write and share the experiences of her ancestors is a priceless legacy. June was a great wife, sister, aunt, grandmother, neighbor and friend and she will be deeply missed.

Survived by her loving husband John C. Brewer; her sister, Pat Ferre Wilkey; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 26th, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Indian Hills Ward, 1320 S. Wasatch Drive, SLC UT. Viewing will be held from 9:30 ‚ 10:45 AM. Interment at the Santaquin City cemetery. For condolences, please visit www.LarkinCares.com.
