Bianca Coppa

1927 ~ 2014

Bianca Coppa, 87, passed away October 11, 2014 peacefully at The Wentworth Assisted Living. She was born August 14, 1927 in Piazzo, Italy. On April 23, 1949 she married John Coppa and they had two children. In 1965 she left her homeland of Italy to come to America with her husband and children. She took classes to learn English and became a U.S. citizen in 1980. Bianca was a cook at the Children's Behavior Therapy Unit School and was known for her Italian cooking and chocolate chip cookies. The kids and staff loved Bianca at the school. Mom loved to cook and one of her family's favorite foods was her breadsticks. Her food was delicious and everyone always looked forward to dinner at grandma Coppa's. She had a passion and talent for sewing, crocheting and knitting and was the kind of lady that always put others before herself.

She lived life selflessly and humble and loved her family with all her heart. She is once again reunited with her husband, Johnny and sister Maria. She is survived by her son Robert (Brenda), daughter Sylvia and six grandchildren: Stephanie, Sergio, Victoria, Erik, Arno and Nicholas.

Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 3015 Creek Road Sandy, Utah. A visitation for friends and family will be held one hour prior to the services. Entombment will follow at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 East 1300 South. Online condolences: www.larkincares.com
