Nedra Ann Christensen Bauer

1939 ~ 2015

Nedra Ann Christensen Bauer was born December 20, 1939 in Mount Pleasant, Utah. She passed away in her home on July 22, 2015. She was the daughter of Hans Reed Christensen and Rhoda May Peterson Christensen (both deceased). As a young girl she spent many hours herding sheep and helping her mother make homemade breads and delicious desserts. She attended Snow College where she received her 2 year degree and teaching certificate. She moved to Salt Lake and finished beauty school. While studying for her bachelors at CSU, she met and married her sweetheart, Brenton Bauer in the Manti Temple. Married 48 years, they lived most of their time in Sandy, Utah where they raised their 2 boys.

Nedra held many callings in the LDS Church including Relief Society Home-Making Leader, Sunday School and Primary Teacher. Once her grandkids arrived, they became her biggest joy. She loved her grandkids and spending time with them. She loved to read and listen to audio books. She loved playing board and card games and learned all the best tricks for Rook from her mother and father. She loved music and singing songs of all kinds. She loved drives in the canyon to see the fall colors. She enjoyed visiting her childhood home and spending time in Ephraim. She is survived by her husband, Brenton, son Gary (Marci), grandsons Reed and Shane, brothers Jay (Donna), Don (Debbie) and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her son, Brandon J and her parents, Hans Reed and Rhoda.

Services will be held Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Larkin Sunset Gardens 1950 E. Dimple Dell Road (10600 S). A viewing for friends and family will be held Saturday, July 25, 2015 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Larkin Sunset Gardens. Interment will be held at Mountain View Memorial Park at 3115 E 7800 South, Cottonwood Heights, UT 84121.
