Wanda A. Johnson

1926 ~ 2018

Our loving mother and grandmother, Wanda A. Johnson, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2018 in the presence of her four children. She was born October 3, 1926 in Leamington, Utah to Emil Anderson and Nellie Textorius Anderson. She graduated from Delta High School. She married J. Earl Johnson in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on April 11, 1944.

Wanda Loved to sing with her sister Bertha. She enjoyed traveling in her motorhome with her husband. She also liked to crochet and read romance novels. Wanda was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings. She served as a temple worker and served a mission with her husband Earl at the Utah State Prison. Most of all, she loved to spend time with her family.

Wanda is survived by her son Richard Lee Johnson, daughters Linda Marie Egbert, Cheron Parker (Bill) and Wendy Howard (Richard), 13 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, brother-in-law Dale Johnson (Lora), sisters-in-law, Jeri Sheehy and Arva Witbeck, and many nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, 4 brothers and 6 sisters.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at 12:00 noon at the Olympus 5th Ward Chapel, 3070 East Nila Way (4100 South). Viewings will be held on Monday, January 8 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 East 1300 South and Tuesday from 10:30 to 11:30 AM prior to services at the ward.
