Evelyn Ash Hanson, age 96, passed away March 27, 2018 in West Valley. She was born November 15, 1921 in Ramsey, IN to James Levi Ash and Pearl Lofton. She married Henry Mooren, later divorced. Later married Roger Hanson in the S.L. Temple. Evelyn was an active member of the LDS church. She served as a Jr. Sunday school teacher and was a visiting teacher until the time of her passing. Worked at the LDS Church Office Bldg. until her retirement. Traveling, gardening and keeping in contact with family and friends were some of the things that she enjoyed. Evelyn was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
Survived by daughter Joyce (Art) North, brother Melvin (Sherrie) Ash IN, Sandy Braithwaite KS, and Donna (Shane) Wright AZ (nieces she raised as her own when their mother passed away). Grandchildren Gary (Jody) North AZ, Shelly (Chezlyn) Thomas, UT, Brent (Kim) North CA, Robert, Scott, Craig (Shanda) Braithwaite, Michelle (Jason) Ryals KS, Jennifer (Billy) Hansen UT. Also survived by 15 great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by husband, parents, 3 brothers, 2 sisters, and a great grandson.
Services will be held Sat. April 7, 2018, 12:00 pm with visitation from 10:45-11:45 am at the Harvest Park Ward, 3671 S. Oldham St, West Valley, UT. Interment Redwood Memorial Cemetery.
