Robert (Bob) Lindsey McDougall passed away January 5, 2016. He was 75 years old.
Bob had a very vibrant life and had many experiences that developed lifelong friends at each endeavor. He served a mission in Scotland, was drafted as a pitcher for the Pittsburgh Pirates, played in a rock and roll band, ran his own backpacking company and lived in New York just to name a few. He loved sports and spent most of his life either playing or watching them on TV. He could tell you things about players you never knew and it didn\t matter the sport. His all-time favorite was baseball and he was an avid New York Yankees fan. He was married twice and had 3 daughters.
He is survived by his daughters Sean Liedtke (Mark), Casey McDougall, Kelly McDougall, 4 grandchildren Kurt Smithson (Devin), Jacob Smithson (Shanae), Brianna Ballegooie, Autumn Ballegooie and 2 great grandchildren, one he didn\t have a chance to meet.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South) in Sandy. A visitation will be held on Monday evening from 6-8 pm and on Tuesday morning from 9:30‚10:30 am prior to the services. Online condolences welcomed at www.larkincares.com.
