L. Marie Boyce, age 74, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2017 peacefully at home in South Jordan, Utah. Born January 12, 1943 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Howard R. and Lydia B. Staker. She was the oldest of eight children. She graduated from Olympus High School and worked for Salt Lake City Corporation for 33 years before retiring in 2014.
She is survived by her children Tina (Steven) Retford, Bret (Amy) Boyce and Bart Boyce; five grandchildren Tiffany (Kevin) Stamm, Zeb Hasna, Bailie Retford, Brandon Boyce and Triston Boyce; three great grandchildren Kadyn Hobbs, Tanner Hobbs and Paislee Perkins; three brothers Robert (Venita) Staker, John (Rose) Staker, Jim Staker; two sisters Laurel (Buddy) Brassel and Allene Staker; best friend Camille and her two sons, Landon and Justice; and along with numerous friends and extended family that she loved dearly. She is preceded in death by her mother, father and two brothers Larry and Dennis Staker.
A viewing will be held Saturday, December 30, 2017 from 11:00 am to 12:45 pm at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. Dimple Dell Road (10600 South), Sandy, UT 84092. Interment will follow viewing services.
