  • The choir in heaven just added a new angelic voice to its chorus. On March 13, 2021 Nadine Royle Miller went home to be with her sweetheart and family on the other side who have been patiently awaiting her arrival.

Nadine was born July 10, 1935 in Pleasant Grove, Utah to Homer Freeman Royle and Emily Peay Royle. She was the oldest of four sisters who were her best friends and one of her biggest blessings in life. She was raised in American Fork and attended American Fork High where she met the love of her life, Larry Miller. They were inseparable from the moment they met and were the perfect pair, like popcorn and Lawry’s salt. They built a big and beautiful life together as they raised their four children Renae, Maureen, Don and Michelle who were the center of their universe.

If you didn’t know Nadine, chances are you knew someone who did, and she could make that connection in five seconds flat. She was hard to forget and easy to love. She was proud to be a member of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir for 20+ years where she traveled the world and made lifelong friends. Her gift of making everyone she ever met feel special made her everyone’s favorite dental assistant for over 40 years. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a mission with her eternal companion in the Philippines from 2000-2001 where she instantly fell in love with the people and the culture. As a couple they also served as ordinance workers in the Salt Lake and Jordan River temples where they cherished the joy and peace they found in service.

Together, Nadine and Larry had 20 grandkids, 62 great grandkids, and 6 great great grandkids who they adored and spoiled every chance they got. It was impossible to leave their house without a bite of frogeye salad, at least one Creamsicle, and a pocket full of caramels. Their home was always full of music, laughter, and unconditional love. It was also the best place on earth to watch BYU and Jazz games which were constantly on.

Nadine was truly one of a kind. Nails, hair, jewelry, and perfume ALWAYS on point, dressed to the nines with a Diet Dr Pepper in hand, she whistled and made friends everywhere she went. She was a little lady with a huge heart. She never missed a chance to tell you how much she loved you and make you feel like the most important person in the world. She was beautiful. She was graceful. She left everyone better than she found them. She was kind. She was Christlike. She will be missed beyond measure.

Nadine was welcomed with open arms into paradise by her husband Larry Miller, son Don Miller, grandson Jaren Martindale, sister Janette Monson and parents Homer and Emily Royle.

She is survived by her daughters and their spouses: ReNae (Gary) Orton, Maureen (Douglas) Martindale, and Michelle (Rick) Campagna.

Friends and family are invited to a viewing that will be held on Thursday, March 18, 2021 from 6-8 pm at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary located at 1950 East 10600 South, Sandy, UT 84092. Due to covid guidelines, services will be held by invitation only on Friday, March 19, 2021 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Cameo Park Ward on 8945 South 1700 East Sandy, UT. 84093 beginning at 11:00 AM. Dear Family of Nadine Miller,

Please accept our love and sympathy at the death of your beloved Mother and Grandmother.

Years ago Nadine was an excellent dental assistant and employee who worked in our group dental practice. Imagine our pleasure and surprise to find her living in the same area when we moved to South Jordan about 18 years ago. We got to know her better when we became members of the same ward about 15 years ago. We had good visits with Nadine and Larry in their home. We admired their loving relationship with each other and their family. They were so proud of their daughters and families. They had loving memories of their son Don and looked forward to a joyous reunion with him.

We were sorry not to attend the viewing of funeral. John has just been released from the hospital. Know that you have been in our thoughts and prayers. May the Lord bless you with peace and comfort.

    Love, John and Pat Bevan
