In Loving Memory of Neal Raymond Beal

December 20th, 1929-December 25th, 2023

Neal R. Beal, a remarkable man, peacefully passed away at 94, leaving behind a legacy of love, loyalty, and laughter. Neal was born December 20th, 1929 in Ephraim Utah, to Arvilla Taylor Beal and George Ben Beal and grew up in Murray, with his siblings Richard, Carolyn, and Dean. He attended Liberty Elementary School, Murray Junior High, and Murray High School, where he was an accomplished football player and a proud member of the Booster Tiger Club. Murray High School is where he was affectionately given the nickname “Curly”.

Neal's journey was as extraordinary as the man himself. After studying Business at the University of Utah, he bravely joined the U.S. Air Force as a Second Lieutenant in 1951 and joined a special services unit. Quickly rising through the ranks, he became a First Lieutenant and was in charge of over 200 men by the age of 24. Stationed in Munich, Germany, during the Korean War, he was an Officer at the intelligence control outpost. Neal exemplified courage and leadership that left a lasting impact on those he served with.

But life's greatest adventure awaited him on a dance floor at 26, where he met the love of his life, Dianne. Their love story blossomed into a marriage of 67 incredible years.

Neal and Dianne shared a love that endured through the highs and lows of life, creating a family that would become a testament to their commitment and dedication. Together, they were blessed with three wonderful daughters—Kim, Brook, and Shauna. Neal's devotion to his family extended beyond words, and he took immense pride in watching his family grow and thrive. Not only was he a dedicated Father and Husband, he was also an amazing Grandfather and Great-Grandfather. Neal was a pillar of strength, providing guidance, support, and an unwavering love that shaped the lives of those closest to him.

Professionally, Neal's path was equally impressive. He started his career at Pacific Western Insurance. Rising swiftly in the insurance industry, he became Vice President of Sentenal Security Life by the age of 32. His dedication and work ethic made him a strong leader in the industry. While he was successful professionally, his main priority was always family. His professional motivation was rooted in providing for the ones he loved. Neal retired and spent his time doing the things he loved, such as reading, writing, and traveling.

One of Neal's most cherished qualities was his ability to weave captivating tales. A gifted storyteller, he had a way of bringing his experiences to life, enchanting all who listened.

Neal and Dianne embarked on numerous adventures, traveling the world together. From the romantic streets of Paris to the landscapes of China, Monaco, Italy, Morocco, Jordan, Israel, Spain, and beyond, their journeys were a testament to his appreciation for the beauty that the world had to offer.

Neal Beal was more than an accomplished individual; he was a beacon of goodness. His caring nature, boundless love, and genuine kindness touched the lives of everyone he encountered. His legacy is the profound impact he had on those who were fortunate enough to call him family or friend.

As we bid farewell to Neal R. Beal, we celebrate a life truly well-lived, a life to aspire to. He leaves behind a brighter world for having known him, and his memory will forever be in our hearts.

Neal Beal was predeceased by Arvilla Taylor Beal, George Ben Beal, Dean Beal, and Richard Beal. He is survived by his loving spouse of 67 years, Dianne Beal, his sister Carolyn Kump, his daughters Kimberly Beal (Bill Lines), Brook Beal Bradley (Michael Bradley), and Shauna Beal (Garn McNeil).
