Nicole Anderson

1967 ~ 2022

Our dear Nicole Anderson passed from this life to join her sweet mom and other loved ones on August 8, 2022, in Sandy, Utah. Nicole was born December 18, 1967 in Provo, Utah to Blaine and Nadine Anderson. She got her name from her mother's favorite Aubrey Hepburn movie, "How To Steal a Millionaire." She was a welcome addition after eight years to her two older brothers Todd, and Shawn and sister Tony. They adored their little sister and have so many fun memories of her.

Nicole developed a love for reading at a young age. She also found a love for music and theater. Her mother often took her to musicals and shows as a child. She loved everything of Barbra Streisand and had her whole collection; "Funny Girl" being her all time favorite. She loved art and movies, especially the Charlie Brown specials, even into adulthood. She could imitate Snoopy's voice and named her dogs after different "Peanuts" characters.

She moved to St. George the summer before 8th grade and was introduced to softball where she was a natural and great player. She made good friends who nicknamed her "Buggs." She loved playing ball and all sports.

Nicole was in the first sophomore class to open the new Pine View High School. There she was a member of the drama club and helped with many musicals and plays. She lit up when she talked about her memories of these times with her best friends. These were her favorite times.
Nicole graduated in 1986 and then attended BYU-Hawaii before going to travel school and taking a job with Murdoch Travel. She enjoyed booking trips for people and the perks she got for her own travel. She did this for four years until she decided to really see the world and become a flight attendant for Delta. She was stationed in LA for a year where she lived with her brother and sister-in-law for that time. She and Tari had many adventures being in California. One of the funniest was being extras on the Seinfeld show. (Season 1 episode 4) It shows her in the crowd as Jerry cracks a joke and the crowd is supposed to laugh but Nicole's face is looking very unimpressed. (he had made a joke about flight attendants and she didn't think it was funny) Every time we watch it, it gets funnier. As a flight attendant she traveled to many places. Jerusalem was a highlight but her favorite place in the world was New York. She flew out many times to see the big musicals and shows with her sister and friends. She worked at Ebay and then as a 911 Operator for Unified Police. She was with them for 14 years and received a special service award for saving a man's life over the phone. She loved the people she worked with and they loved her.

We loved family trips to Lake Powell with Nicole, she had such a funny sense of humor and would keep us in giggles with her dry wit. We played games, and stayed up all night with her riddles. The nephews and nieces wanted to be near her and gravitated to her. She was such a fun and supportive aunt. She was really proud of every one of them.

Nicole had the biggest heart and was a loyal friend to all. She was a caretaker, she watched out for people, she stuck up for those that needed it, she had your back. She would do anything without question for you and would give the shirt off her back and everything else she had to anyone who would need it. She loved you as you are, without judgement. She loved her family, she loved her friends unconditionally, and she loved her sweet dogs who were with her when she passed from this life. Thank you for being an example of Christlike love to us.

Nicole was preceded in death by her dear mother (Nadine Anderson), nephew (Brandon Anderson) and fur babies (Simon, Linus and Charlie)
She is survived by her father (Blaine Anderson), brothers Todd (Tricia), Shawn (Stephanie), sister Tonya (Lee)Young, many nephews and nieces, dear friends, and her fur babies (Oscar and Daisy)

We will be having a private family funeral Tuesday August 16th.
Friends are invited to a graveside memorial Saturday, August 20th @ 6:30 at Larkin Cemetery, 1950 E. 10600 S. Sandy, Utah
